Full Day Glass Fusing Workshop

If you have ever fancied having a go at Glass Fusing, then this is the workshop for you. Spend a whole day playing with glass, learn new skills, use your creativity to make something beautiful and totally unique.
During this full day workshop you will spend the morning learning the basics of glass cutting and the principles of glass fusing. We will also look at the different types of glass products and non glass inclusions available. You will then create 4 sample tiles using a variety of materials including sheet glass, glass powders/frit, stencils, glass stringers and metal inclusions.
After a break for lunch, we will design and make 2 further pieces - an S curve candle shade OR 2 x Drape Vases and a flat smaller piece which you could frame or can be slumped into a plate for an extra charge......
or if you would rather, spend the afternoon making further small pieces such as coasters or trinket dishes.
Please wear comfortable clothes and closed toe shoes - no sandals please.
There will be a break for lunch (45 mins - 1 hour) - lunch is not provided, but there are a few cafes, takeaways and hotels nearby - and it helps support local businesses, there is a supermarket 3 minutes walk away....or you are welcome to bring along a packed lunch.
Booking is essential and groups are kept to a maximum of 4 participants to allow individual attention.
This workshop is suitable for adults, those aged 15 years are very welcome, but must be accompanied by an adult taking part.
